Seedling runs in your web browser, so there's no app to install. But you don't have to hunt for a bookmark or type a web address every time. Pin Seedling to your phone's home screen and it opens with a single tap, just like an app.
On iPhone or iPad (Safari)
- Open app.goseedling.com/login in Safari and sign in. You'll land on your dashboard.
- Tap the Share button at the bottom of the screen (the square with an arrow pointing up).
- Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
- Give it a name (for example, "Seedling") and tap Add.
A Seedling icon now lives on your home screen. Tap it anytime to jump straight to your dashboard.
This step uses Safari. If Seedling opened in a different browser, paste app.goseedling.com/login into Safari first, then follow the steps above.
On Android (Chrome)
- Open app.goseedling.com/login in Chrome and sign in. You'll land on your dashboard.
- Tap the three-dot menu in the top-right corner.
- Tap Add to Home screen (on some phones it says Install app).
- Tap Add to confirm.
The Seedling icon appears on your home screen, ready with one tap.
Share it with your team
Your teachers can do the exact same thing on their own phones, so check-in, messaging, and daily logging are always one tap away. (Families can pin their own portal the same way, from the link in their email.)
Good to know
- The shortcut opens whatever page you were on when you added it, so add it once you're signed in and looking at your dashboard.
- It's a shortcut to the website, not an app install, so it stays light and is always up to date.
- Your login and security don't change.
