Your center's website

The free public page every center gets, what you can put on it, previewing, publishing, and where spot requests land.

Every Seedling center gets a free public webpage, included in your flat $40. It is a clean, professional page for families searching for care: your programs, hours, photos, and a request-a-spot form that sends inquiries straight to your inbox. There is no web designer to hire, nothing to host, and nothing technical to maintain.

You will find it under Settings, in the Website section.

What goes on the page

You fill in fields; Seedling handles the design. The rule throughout: anything you leave blank simply does not appear. A page with just your name, hours, and phone number still looks complete.

  • Tagline — one warm line at the top of your page, like "A warm little world where your child can grow."
  • About your center — a few short paragraphs in your own words.
  • Programs — up to four, each with a name, age range, and a sentence or two. One program is fine; a home daycare with a single mixed-age program looks just as intentional as a three-room center.
  • Hours and ages served — shown in the quick facts and the visit section.
  • Tuition starting point — optional, for example "$1,100/month." Many centers prefer to share tuition in person; leave it blank and no price appears.
  • Public phone and email — the contact details shown on the page. These start from your center's details but you can show different ones.
  • Credentials — a free-text line, shown exactly as you write it, for example "Licensed in MI · #DC000000" or "Registered family child care home." Write whatever applies to your center, or leave it blank.
  • Why families choose us — up to five short points. We suggest a few based on what Seedling gives your families, like daily email updates and secure sign-in and sign-out, and you can edit or remove them freely.
  • Google reviews link — if you have saved a reviews link under Settings, Center, you can show a "Read our Google reviews" link on your page.
  • Facebook page — optional; add your page's link and a "Find us on Facebook" link appears on your website.
  • Brand color — pick the accent used for your page's buttons and highlights from a small set of hand-tuned colors (terracotta, sage, honey, dusty blue, mauve, moss). Every option is chosen to stay easy to read, so your page always looks professional.

Photos

Photos are uploaded specifically for your website: your building, playground, classrooms. Pick one as the hero photo that appears at the top of the page.

Photos you share privately with families through Moments are never used on your public page. Nothing about your enrolled children or families appears on the website. The page only ever shows what you explicitly put on it.

Your web address

Your page lives at goseedling.com/c/your-center-name. The address comes from your center's name automatically; there is nothing to choose or maintain.

If you rename your center under Settings, Center, your web address updates to match, and every old link keeps working: anyone opening a previous address is sent straight to your current page, so shared links, printed materials, and search results never break. Renaming does not affect your center's Seedling email address; the two are independent.

Using your own domain name

If your center already owns a domain like yourcenter.com, you can point it at your Seedling page today with a redirect from your domain registrar (GoDaddy, Namecheap, Google Domains, and others all offer this, sometimes called forwarding):

  1. In your registrar's settings, find Forwarding or Redirect.
  2. Forward your domain to goseedling.com/c/your-center-name (your exact address is shown in Settings, in the Website section).
  3. Choose a permanent (301) redirect, and leave "masking" or "frames" off.

Visitors who type your domain will land on your Seedling page. Built-in custom domains may come later; if this matters to your center, tell us at support@goseedling.com.

Preview and publish

  • On a large screen, a live preview sits beside the editor and updates as you type, showing your page as families will see it on a phone.
  • Save & preview shows the full page in a new tab, even before you publish. The request-a-spot form is turned off in preview.
  • Publish makes the page live on the internet. Until you publish, and whenever you unpublish, the page is not reachable by anyone but you.
  • Edits go live when you save; there is nothing to redeploy. If you try to leave with unsaved changes, Seedling asks first.
  • The page strength checklist at the top shows the handful of things that make a page work for families, like adding a photo and writing your about section. It is guidance, not a requirement; you can publish anytime.
  • Once your page is live, the Website section shows how many times it was viewed in the last 30 days. Views are counted anonymously; no visitor information is collected.

Spot requests

When a family fills in the request-a-spot form, three things happen:

  1. Every admin gets an email with the family's name, contact, the child's age, when they would like to start, and whether they asked for a tour. If they left an email address, you can reply straight from your inbox.
  2. The inquiry appears at the top of the Website section in Settings, where you can mark it contacted once you have followed up.
  3. Your dashboard shows an alert whenever there are new spot requests, so you will not miss one even if the email slips by.

Families never need an account to reach you, and tour requests are flagged so you can respond to the warmest leads first.

When you are ready to enroll a family, use Invite to enroll right on the inquiry: it emails them your center's enrollment form link and marks the inquiry contacted in one click. The button appears when the family left an email address and your public enrollment form is turned on.
