Messaging families

Message one family or your whole center, and let parents reply right from their email.

Send a message to one family or broadcast to your whole center from the Messaging area.

Send a message or announcement

  1. Open Messaging and start a New Message (or a New Announcement to reach everyone).
  2. Choose recipients — All Families, a classroom, or specific children/guardians.
  3. Write your message and send. Families get it in their portal and by email.

Parents can just hit reply

When a parent replies to a message email, it comes straight back into the conversation in your Messaging inbox — they don't need to log in or find a link. A reply also re-surfaces an archived thread, so a parent's response never gets buried.

Tips

  • Use Announcements for closures, reminders, and events — the things parents most want to know.
  • Replies are tied to their conversation and to your center only; messages never cross between centers.
  • For "what happened today," lean on daily activities and the daily summary email instead of messaging each family individually.
