Import & export your data

Your data is yours. Move it in easily, and take it with you anytime — no lock-in.

Import your roster (switching in)

1. Go to Settings → Data.

2. Click Download the template and open it in any spreadsheet app.

3. Fill in one row per child. The columns are:

   child_first_name, child_last_name, child_date_of_birth, guardian_first_name, guardian_last_name, guardian_email, guardian_phone

4. Save as CSV, then upload it on the same screen.

5. Review the result — Seedling reports how many were imported and skips/flags any bad rows.

Good to know:

• Guardians are matched by email, so the same parent across siblings won't be duplicated.
• Exporting from Brightwheel, Procare, or similar? Map their columns to the template headers above.

Export your data (no lock-in)

From Settings → Data, download your children and guardians as CSV whenever you want — for a backup, your records, or moving on. You're never locked in.
